wholesale MPIX pricing
I'm wondering why the contract between Zenfolio and MPIX didn't include wholesale pricing.
Zenfolio Pro clients pay the same price for MPIX prints as the general public does if they shop through MPIX directly. In other words, anyone on the planet can purchase prints from MPIX at the published price… a price that happens to be the same price professionals pay through Zenfolio.
Zenfolio has a contract with MPIX to provide printing services for its clients, but Zenfolio clients pay the exact same price for MPIX prints as the general public does. Usually, when a company contracts with a vendor and provides a significant increase in business, that company gets a better deal on pricing than the general public receives.
My question is this... did Zenfolio not receive a discounted rate with MPIX? Or did Zenfolio receive the discount, but not pass it on to its customers? This is a very serious question. Professional photographers selling prints through Zenfolio are not getting wholesale pricing from MPIX... and as retailers, we should.

I completely agree with you! AND, they should offer their entire selection of products. I ordered graduation cards through my site. 1. They have more quantity selections on MPIX so we ended up paying more because we had to order 2 sets of 20 cards vs 40. 2) They don't even have all of the cards available through MPIX set up in zenfolio.
So, nobody is concerned about this?
There isn't one professional shooter who thinks paying retail for wholesale services is wrong? Or, maybe I'm missing something...?
