Albums and Photobook Improvements
With Photobooks currently available, there are still improvements to be made. This thread is for the Phase II of the Photobooks idea, including things like being able to offer Albums, making Photobooks available for more users, and making Photobooks customizable.
While there are still customization areas to improve on, One Vision Imaging now offers Lay Flat Books through Zenfolio so overseas users can buy and offer those to their clients.
I created a book years ago on my Zen site, and i was really embarrassed to give it to the couple because the front of the album looked strange with the large black font - it was the only option! So since then I haven't bought from Zenfolio its just too limiting. I prefer to add beautiful fonts and have more creative options. I have all these album templates that I could use to sell a more unique product but Zen does not offer the option to use templates on albums. We need the easy flow that Shutterfly or Blurb offers with the customization that Cypress, Finao offer! I hate that Album companies inter change the word pages & sides - its so confusing for me & my clients.
The ability for the client to add text to the pages or even the option to add a full page of text between images would be great! I have a client who would like to create a family recipe book and would like to have the ability to add food images to a page with the recipe on the facing page, maybe with a smaller image among the text.

Being able to add my own custom templates/layouts would be awesome. And so would offering some custom text options with lots of fonts, sizes and colors!
1. I would love to be able to add 2 page spreads into the albums-Can't really do this as of now.
2. Would love to see a 5x5 leather album option.
3. Would also like to see more template options for boudoir-as of now there are none.
Photobooks definitely need improvement your interface is so hard to use I am now using Shutterfly, please advise when you've made improvements i.e. ability to move pages around etc. currently if I want to reorder a photo in a book I've created in Zenfolio I have to redo everything.

You should just partner up with Shutterfly or use something similar to their template.
Any client of mine that has used Shutterfly (or various others) would never buy a photo book from my website as it is not user friendly at all and there are many more options people can choose on Shutterfly. This just seems so unprofessional and ridiculous.
Basically my clients download their pictures then buy books from other vendors. I cannot fault them or have any reasons why they should buy from my website as opposed to the others.

I would love it if we could order Photobook in Australia too. Anny idea as to when this might happen?

No photobook on Europe!
Still no photo books for the UK!
Yes, it would be great to have such option.
Yes!! Nice to hear this. Will love to be able to see Albums in the future. I need more streamlining for my wedding workflow.. At a competitive rate of course: food for thought!
Would love to see a nicer e-surface album with template layouts that my clients could design/fulfill themselves through Zenfolio. Millers Signature album would be a great option!
Yes photo books for Australia through nulab please

If we can get this for more printeries like NuLab, etc.
Photobooks are not really "available" when they are only limited to a subset of customers.
agreed. this has been suggested a few times. here's one:
yes! custom layouts, captions, clipart. and not only on a transactional basis, but i'd like to be able to upload templates that stay in the account for our clients to use. perhaps you could make extra templates available for purchase just like you have the TripleScoop partnership for music. Pay extra for more card and book templates. IPI has lots of templates. Photogize, for example, sells their templates on its platform.
