Calendar Based Booking, Contracts, and invoices

If you would like to have a Calendar Based Booking feature added, please vote. The idea is this: a potential client visits your site and wants to know your availability. She sees that a particular day is available, and clicks on that day. She is then presented with a form that contains fields of information that the photographer deems necessary. After filling out the information, the data is emailed to the photographer, and that date is temporarily booked, pending payment. If you would like a calendar/booking feature similar to this implemented, please vote now

    This feature has been reviewed and given the current roadmap this will unfortunately be not able to happen in 2016. We will reassess at a later time.

        Acuity Scheduling is the best client scheduling platform we've found and offers a code for embedding into Zenfolio. That being said, it'd be cool to see Zenfolio and Acuity partner up and integrate so the client list on Acuity syncs with Zenfolio's contact list and orders.

        That is not a bad idea for working videographers and photographers....one other feature is to have a sell feature added ( Not the one for wedding and portrait people ) but one that has a price for generic or artistic video or photographs.The Price is established ( stated on line ) and the client can buy it..and download it...after payment...this could be a added feature ( to be added at an additional price ) and / or both ( the other being a % to Zen for the transaction plus administrative cost )...I do like the idea Christopher Grissett Proposed....it sounds purposeful and would be a useful tool for clients to book talent ( photographers or Videographers ) if they are from out of town or like the artist portfolio on line.....

        A booking system is fantastic news. The sooner the better.

        It would be brilliant if it could interface with existing calendar systems such as Mac- Calendar.

        Would also love Zenfolio to provide some of the invoice, communication, and schedule management of sites like Honeybook. At least for people with the Business Pro accounts.

        Got fed up of waiting and used a free web based program to do this for me allows up to 50 bookings per week before you have to pay allows you to add services etc and gives a calendar that you can also block out dates your not available

        So, once again, I fed this information to the support team at Zenfolio. I stated, as clearly as I could, that Zenfolio's promises of "we're looking into it" and "it's under review" are as useless as a politicians promise and we need either some detail regarding this fictional progress or a distinct "no, it's not going to happen" so that we can all move on to bigger and better things.

        Their response: "We're looking into it" and "it's under review".

        The Zenfolio support team's canned responses to this question has been nothing short of insulting.

        I know Zenfolio works hard to improve the site, but this request is a biggie and it's been ignored for over five years. Five years is a long time, especially when you consider how much work has been put into improving the site during that time. You can't just keep saying "we're looking into it".

        Calendar based booking has over 4500 votes, making it THE most popular feature request by a factor of three. In other words, it's three times more popular than the second most popular request. And the requests you have fulfilled don't even reach the 1000 mark. That's what doesn't make sense. From what I can tell, this is THE most popular request in Zenfolio history.

        Here's an idea...
        You guys really need to pop in here and make a comment detailing why the request is not feasible. The fact that Zenfolio hasn't addressed it at all is why everyone is so upset. You guys need to do more than just say "we're looking into it". Vague promises don't help. Zenfolio needs to take it a little more seriously and either provide specifics about the progress of this feature or tell everyone that it's just not going to happen. Leaving everyone hanging in the breeze and hoping something is going to happen is a lot more frustrating than telling us "no".

        Zenfolio seems to have its priorities backward. They continue to put out site updates that are useful, but not even close to being necessary. Why can't Zenfolio use that time and energy to implement the requests that are actually requested? For example, Calendar Based Booking has over 4500 votes and has been in the queue for over five years. What is it going to take?

        So, if this had 400,000 votes, would traction happen? Just saying.....seems like no activity whatsoever on the most popular feature request is a bit like "hey everyone - eff yourselves!"

        If it has been in review finally after thousands of votes, you'd think it would have some traction by now.
