Email Marketing Campaigns and Templates
A new system for email marketing campaigns and a good template system for scheduling and sending emails to clients. From start to finish of an events life cycle integration from event cards, to signup coupons and emails letting the client know the event is ready to view. Then followup emails to the client reminding them to order their photos. This could all be customized depending on the role of the guest at the wedding and it is option for the client. The client can click a box saying "Please don't email me reminders" I think this would take Zenfolio to the next level and be a huge advantage to Photographers!

Could we get services similar to Mailchimp or AWeber inside Zenfolio?

Mar 7th, 2011...and still no progress to this very much needed and in demand update. Almost reconsidering my move to Zenfolio. It's the ability to save templates. Can't be that hard.

That kind of system would be very helpful on the business side!

We need the system to Auto email our customers. I used Instaproofs and their system was great but they do not fulfill orders - which is why I left. When someone came to an event, they would enter their email address. Insta proofs would auto email them once a month for 9 months and then stop. They had nice template language in their email and it was branded as if you were personally writing it. The text could also be modified to include what you wanted and you could save the modified versions. It was perfect. Please do this Zenfolio!

I love this idea. Even something heading in that direction where I can create my own email templates and save them so I dont have to use the only one there telling my client the gallery is ready. I am using about 8 templates now I have on word docs and have to copy and paste to an email. Its weird this isnt available already. Also... Adding attachments to be sent through email.

How long does it take from "planned" to "completed"? This is an awesome idea! I know pictage does something similar.

I'd love to be able to customise and save as a default the text sent in an invite email. Can't be that hard to implement. Sure there are workarounds, but a basic ability to write new text and save it as a default seems a fairly obvious request.

The ability to create newsletters and scheduling from my client communications would also enhance this

Could not agree more!!!! I have to save all my email templates through another email account, and copy and paste from this with every approved order or expiring folder. Confusing and time consuming...

Yes! I just tried to use the email contact feature for the first time to send out a notice about an upcoming exhibit. I wanted to include a couple of photos in the email--and no dice. Just a link to my home page. Creating emails should have the same features as creating custom pages, where you can adjust the font, embed or link to photos, etc. Templates would be the ideal way to make this work. Come on, this is a photography site. How can I send out this email without a photo or two embedded?

I was about to post on this same subject and decided to see if anyone had mentioned it. This is the only thing i miss from Pictage. I was about to send a Holiday special sale and just realized how difficult it would be to select the guests from each photo gallery and create a template email.
Thanks,
