Email Marketing Campaigns and Templates
A new system for email marketing campaigns and a good template system for scheduling and sending emails to clients. From start to finish of an events life cycle integration from event cards, to signup coupons and emails letting the client know the event is ready to view. Then followup emails to the client reminding them to order their photos. This could all be customized depending on the role of the guest at the wedding and it is option for the client. The client can click a box saying "Please don't email me reminders" I think this would take Zenfolio to the next level and be a huge advantage to Photographers!

There are other companies out there who offer this service but why not streamline it to the Zenfolio product as we already have clients lists from which to email. It could be as simple as Zen giving us the ability to email clients a template formed newsletter which we could each create in PS ourselves as a saved jpg. Organization and simplicity is key in making our business efficient and looking professional!
It would be a great convenience to be able to create email templates to send to clients when inviting them to their galleries.
would love to be able to create beautiful customized newsletters for my clients. that they can choose to sign up for or to opt out if they so choose. This would be such an asset for photographers as a marketing tool.. a much needed feature through zenfolio. Please Please consider this feature.. SOON.
I would be interested in the ability to save custom email templates. Currently I cannot save my custom "Invite Visitors" email. I must retype my email each time.
the solution to my problem which is I needed an efficient way to send the same "holiday promotion" email to many clients across different categories to get them to look at their galleries again and check out the upgraded shopping cart with some stuff in it.
Can we save our own canned emails to our clients. That way we don't have to type again or keep a word doc open with a copy paste thing.
It would be great if there was a way for me to create a customizable email template for client. As an example, i would like my banner, logo, header/footer etc and use such a template for all client communications.
Currently, I can only include text and links but i cannot include images. This is extremely limiting.
It would be great to set up separate templates of "invites" for Wedding Clients/Seniors/family shoots instead of retyping for each.
I wonder if the client communications could include links to social media - LIKE buttons and stuff we could cet to our pages, etc.
Client communications would be improved with the ability to customize e-mail templates.

When I add a new coupon I really hate having to type up some type of sales pitch to promote and advertise the coupon. It would be great if Zen could have a way to share coupon information via the social pages and email to clients. This would make it much easier and the wording could be consistent with each coupon as well as maintaining my website theme.
I would be interested in being able to send an email that has my own custom designed pdf or jpg image with type in the body of the email. No need to click on link. My clients could see my image and design without having to go to a link. Visible immediately.
Thanks for giving us better email communications. However, I still find myself copying and pasting when sending clients an invitation to view their photos, etc. I'd love to be able to save those templates on Zenfolio. It would be a great time saver.

I'd like to be able to edit a template for the Invitation email. As of right now, I have to change some of the wording, add a sentence indicating the password (shouldn't it autopopulate the email?), and now remove the CAPS LOCK formatting of my company name. Every time.
This is ideal if Mpix/pro has a special and I want my clients to take advantage of it.
I would love to have a template where automatically fills out the name of the coupon and the code in a text form (or html) and I can send it directly to my clients.
Also it can be use if I have a shoot and I need a print out of the coupon. I can give it to my client directly.
Here's how our app is going to work shortly - every time a gallery is uploaded, the gallery link is pulled into our user database for use with Mailchimp and others. An automatic email will ask the client to either activate or delete their gallery. Upon activation, they could set their own gallery password for just their gallery. The app will track visitors, photo quantity & duration online and automatically delete gallery based on custom criteria. i.e. if they don't use their galleries, they'll get an automated email saying their gallery will expire in 30 days after which it'll automatically delete.
Sounds great and the ability to customize the template for gallery invites...PLEASE - So simple, and such a huge advantage

Hey all - let me know if you're interested in this and if you'd pay for such an app. We recently hired a developer to enable exporting details of all groups (client name, email, group URL etc) to then be imported into the email marketing service of my choice (currently using GetResponse). This way, I could send customized mass emails with sale announcements along with a client's unique link. For example:
It's holiday time and we're having a huge sale... Check out your photos at [Link] and order away!
The name and link will be loaded from a database which is updated every time a new group is uploaded to Zenfolio. Additionally clients will be able to create their own password their first time and modify or request deletion of their photos.

do this now!!! please!! i don't want to have to use outside email sources like mailchimp etc. zenfolio you can do this. we need it!
Does it cost a lot to implement this feature? It looks like you've planned this for TWO YEARS (as of THIS date) here's the rub, either you're going to make this available or we need to move forward with other solutions... It's not very comforting to see that the company that is such a big partner with my business takes more than two years to implement a plan. Do you have a date?

when is this planned for? Id love some feedback from zenfolio on this topic. having automatic email scheduling and notification for sales helps sales so very much! this is a must.
That would be awesome. I did this myself, creating a photo coupon and applied it to all my galleries but it took forever. I would love to see templates as well as customizable coupons!

I have always wanted this! Why pay for Constant Contact or Mad Mimi and the like?! It would be an amazing idea to be able to design and send emails to our clients directly from our Zenfolio accounts. Can't wait until this happens.
when is this going to happen????? i have been waiting patiently but am about to switch to instaproofs just for this feature!!! come on Zen!
alternatively, i'd like if they simply provide a customizable CSV download containing client email, group/gallery thumbnail, group name, group link as columns so that we could use our existing email marketing service. ZF is never going to be able to match Mailchimp or Getresponse in email marketing. It's not their core strength. They should just give us the necessary information in download form for us to reach out to our customers using a 3rd party. Or perhaps offer some way to export directly to MailChimp or GetResponse.

Yes, I need to use the Client Communications Email facility but need to include some simple graphics - as far as I can see it is limited to text only plus links.

I see that this was suggested over 2 years ago in March of 2011. This is really the missing link for me on the Zen site. I am new here but so far it beats all the others hands down. Hope this gets done soon. It is a win win for zen because if we make more money so do you.
I'd prefer Mailchimp integration as well....
Yes, this is a no brainer. We should be able to save templates for emails we want to send out to INVITE guests. Really hoping this gets added to the next update.
