  Select the "Group Layout with Slideshow" layout for a group page. Point the slideshow to the gallery that you want to showcase. Optionally do not include any galleries into this group.

  Can you please elaborate on how this is accomplished? I must be stupid. I have looked everywhere. I want my portfolio images to open in the homepage slideshow, not a new gallery page.

  You can do this with the new Group layout with slideshow - the feature we've released recently. When your visitors will click the group thumbnail, the page with the slideshow will be displayed.

  I've been embedding a gallery slideshow on a customizable page (see my site at www.kalimana.com), and it's worked out just fine. Still, you can't customize the "border" like you can the homepage slideshow (I want to be able to do a medium shadow on it), but it's something.

  This was my idea, and it is a shame I'm not seeing this by now. The flash stuff looks bad on my site and I can't even center the thing. Seems so easy to do...the home page does it now....

  Yes, but must go hand in hand with the implementation of HTML5 for colour managed slide shows.

  ABSOLUTELY a necessary addition especially in light of having slideshow working on home page. Seems that it would be an easy addition/modification to take that code having link to a drop down for additional slideshows then returning to the link origin...

  Agreed with Carston's comment from Sept 29th. The Zenfolio team was helpful in coaching me on how to link a FULL-SCREEN slideshow to a drop-down link/gallery, but I think what most of us are looking for is a gallery that is consistent in presentation with the homepage.

  Agreed. A year on and not yet implemented. Unsure why it's not possible (without coding) to make your gallery pages consistant with the home page.

  I'm surprised more people haven't requested this. For almost every photography website outside of zenfolio this is pretty much standard functionality, as there are many types of photography. For example, I would not put real estate photography on the same slideshow as portraits. The full page slideshow is not the answer either. The homepage slideshow is the most effective presentation, and should be able to display multiple categories via a dropdown.
